What is Kratom Extract?

First let me inform you about some of the types of Kratom Extract. It is available in many forms and in recent years since the Western civilizations have come onboard, it’s popularity has increased. Kratom extract powder is only one of the forms. Others include kratom oil, liquid kratom, kratom resin, and full spectrum kratom tincture. Kratom extracts are much more potent than regular kratom, which comes from drying and grinding the leaves from a kratom tree.

Blending regular leaves from the kratom tree with water usually makes Kratom powder extract. This mixture is boiled so that various compounds from within the leaves may be extracted. Next the kratom leaves are strained and the water is boiled to the point of being an extremely concentrated powder. Because of the dense product which results, you can invest a much smaller amount of product and still achieve the same result as if you had taken a large amount of normal kratom.

The extract is generally marketed based on its concentration. So a powdered extract that is 15 times more concentrated than the original kratom leaf could be sold as 15x kratom extract.

Due to the vast range of kratom extraction methods, there are many different products on the market, from alcohol and water extractions to high-pressure CO2 and acid to base extractions.

How Do You Take Kratom Powder?

You can ingest powdered kratom extract in several different ways. You can take it in a capsule, brew it in a tea, eat it with a rather spicy food to help cover the bitterness, or put it into some foods such as soups or applesauce.

If you prefer taking kratom in capsules, the kratom extract is much easier to work with than regular kratom. Another plus is that less is required in order to achieve the desired outcomes. Most people don’t want to ingest lots of capsules and with powdered extract, you don’t need to since it’s much stronger.

Kratom extract powder can be blended with kratom leaf powder to create enhanced kratom. It’s important to remember that enhanced kratom and kratom extract are two very different things, with the enhanced being the most potent of the two.

How much should I take?

Powdered kratom extract dosages vary from person to person. The concentration of the kratom extract, the desired effect, the person’s weight, all play a role in determining how much-powdered kratom one should take. Please be aware that tolerances to this herb vary greatly.

Kratom extracts have different intensities, such as x15, x25 or x50. So  you must take the intensity or concentration number and divide the recommended kratom leaf dosage by this number. For example, say you have 50x Maeng Da kratom extract.  You would want to divide the recommended Maeng Da kratom leaf dosage by 50. In general, this is a reasonable guide to kratom dosage. This assumes you are using a good quality kratom.

Threshold for Effects — 1-2 grams

Mild Effect — 2-4 grams

Moderate Effect — 3-5 grams

Strong Effect — 5-8 grams

This is the recommended dosage for powdered kratom leaf, so you would divide the dosage by the strength of the kratom extract that you’re using. You need to remember that kratom quality deteriorates over time, so if the kratom extract is old, you may need a higher dosage.

Kratom extracts effects

Since they say you should feel the effects of this medication in about 20 minutes, if 45 minutes have gone past and you feel nothing, it should be very safe to take some more.

Which Kratom Effects should I seek?

When discussing kratom extract effects, realize that they do really vary according to the precise variety of kratom and the dosage. Some kratom varieties are more effective at providing relaxation or sedation while others do a better job of relieving pain. Read through some reviews or get into some chat rooms about how others are coping with using the extract of this herb.

In closing, kratom extracts are much more potent and they can absolutely increase your tolerance to the plain leaf, or on the other side of the coin, they can cause symptoms of withdrawal symptoms when you try to stop using.
